(HealthNewsDigest.com) – New York, NY – In the modern technology era, every aspect of a person’s life is now documented on any number of social networking sites. Even small details, such as what to eat or the errands for a person’s day are fodder for “updates” on sites like Facebook and Twitter. It’s no surprise, then, that thousands of users create networks and updates based on their personal fitness achievements.
PumpOne, the inventors of the revolutionary iPhone/iPod Touch App FitnessBuilder, is now introducing their most exciting update yet: FitnessBuilder 2.2: FitnessBuilder SOCIAL, the world’s first workout sharing App available exclusively in the iTunes App Store. FitnessBuilder SOCIAL will be available for purchase starting mid-November 2009.
Share Your Workouts
FitnessBuilder SOCIAL allows users to make their own workout or access over 500 pre-made workouts available in the extensive FitnessBuilder App library. Users can send and receive workouts to and from their friends, creating an endless amount of workouts to choose from.
Users are able to tap the SHARE button on any workout to send an email to one or more of their friends with their workout, complete with their own personal instructions. The moment a workout is emailed to a friend with FitnessBuilder SOCIAL, the workout is downloaded and accessible. If their friend does not have FitnessBuilder, they receive an email with a link to download it from the iTunes App Store.
According to PumpOne co-founder and exercise physiologist Declan Condron, “we have seen a sharp increase in requests for sharing capabilities, not only from users but from our users trainers. With the new ‘Shared Workout’ feature, personal trainers can train their clients. Coaches can keep better track of their teams, and friends can share their fitness goals and motivate each other on the fly.”
Post Workouts to Your Facebook & Twitter Pages
FitnessBuilder SOCIAL users can now link their account with Facebook connect. At the end of each workout, users can check a post to “post” their completed workout status to their Facebook Wall. Each post includes an exercise image, the workout name, time, rating and description.
Users can also link their FitnessBuilder account with Twitter. At the end of each workout users can check a box to “Tweet” the completed workout status to their Twitter page. Each Tweet contains the workout name, time and rating.
