(HealthNewsDigest.com) – Summery knee-length dresses and cap sleeves mark the majority of the collection, with dresses ranging from simple knits with straight lines, to complex pleating, to shirt/skirt combo dresses. The line features bright colors including yellows, greens, reds, teals, and plums, echoing the sunny Mexican veranda.
“This line was a thrill to develop,” Athelia Woolley, co-owner of Shabby Apple said. “We drew inspiration from a desolate Mexican region and designed dresses that would contrast the landscape. The result was a line of dresses that flatter a woman’s figure, look fabulous in a work or party setting, yet despite the practicalities, let the wearer feel as though she’s somewhere else.”
The line features stretch cottons, silks and knits that are easy-to-care for; hand wash and line dry. The collection is affordable, with dresses ranging from around $60 to $90.
Shabby Apple also offers dresses for newborns, children, preteens and women of all sizes. The brand features hip, affordable dresses, while staying loyal to their aphorism that a dress should be a one-piece outfit, no need to add anything – no tank tops, cardigans or slips necessary.

History
After years of not being able to find stylish dresses that covered enough skin to make the owners feel comfortable (without wearing a tank top or cardigan) owners Emily McCormick and Athelia Woolley decided to do something about it. The company launched in December of 2006 and is distributed online and to clothing boutiques around the country.
