“School supplies are no longer the boring items to be checked off the back-to-school shopping list,” said April B. “Design awakens emotions and evokes memories,” Whitlock said. “For example, flowers or variations on floral themes may remind you of spring when everything is in bloom and the sun is shining; brightly colored polka dots and bold graphic elements may conjure memories of a party or summer trip.”
Form should also enhance function for school supplies to meet student needs. Look for durability in notebooks, and features such as inside pockets for carrying loose papers and CD’s, tabs for separating subjects in a single notebook. a perforated edge for a clean notebook paper tear-away and bands to keep notebooks closed.
