(HealthNewsDigest.com) – TUCSON, Ariz. – Less than one year after launching a two-year, entirely online RN to MSN (Master of Science in Nursing) degree program for nurses with an associate degree, the University of Arizona College of Nursingannounces the addition of an accelerated 15-month online MSN program for nurses with a BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) degree.
Developed in response to the industry’s positive reception of the RN-MSN in Clinical Systems Leadership curriculum and a high volume of interest from BSN nurses, the new BSN-MSN program is offered as a streamlined track within the online MSN.
The MSN in Clinical Systems Leadership program is ideal for RNs seeking enriched credentials increasingly needed for safe, high quality, innovative care. Focused on evidence-based practice, quality and safety, health-care technologies and integrative therapies, the online MSN program promotes a systems mindset and practical skill set to shape patient-centric health care across care delivery settings.
Featured online are two distinct, accelerated paths: one for RNs with an associate degree in nursing who follow a 44-credit, two-year curriculum, and one for RNs with a BSN who follow a 31-credit, 15-month curriculum. Both tracks allow nurses to earn their MSN (generalist) degree entirely online in less time than most other MSN or RN bridge programs. At the conclusion of the program under the mentorship of experienced nurse leaders, students complete a capstone project that enables them to engage within their local work environments for transformational change.
The UA College of Nursing is a top tier, nationally-accredited nursing college established in 1957 and is well-versed in delivering degrees online. For more than eight years, faculty have provided entirely online its nationally-accredited Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing (PhD) degrees.
