(HealthNewsDigest.com) – With so many choices in Browlift’s today, you may feel a bit overwhelmed seeking out the ‘right’ technique for your situation. This should not be the case, however. The options in Browlift procedures mean results that are tailored to your unique needs and desires. With a little information, it is actually easier than ever to determine the perfect Browlift for you.
The first step towards a refreshed and rejuvenated appearance is to identify if you are a good candidate for the procedure. The Browlift is a surgical procedure, used to lift drooping eyebrows, smooth forehead lines, and ease Frown Lines. A Browlift does not address the eyelids, the forehead, or the mid-face.
Consider a Browlift if you have:
- Sagging or low eyebrows
- A tired, unhappy, or angry appearance
- Deep horizontal forehead creases
- Frown Lines between the eyebrows
- Excess skin or fatty tissue is hanging down over the eyes
There are several types of Browlift, each designed to meet different needs. Once you have determined that you are a good candidate for the procedure, the next step is understand the individual techniques.
The Coronal Lift: Also known as the traditional or open technique, the Coronal Lift is the most common type of Browlift performed. The technique begins with a thin incision, running from behind one ear, across the scalp, and behind the other ear. The incision is concealed within the hairline.
Choose the Coronal Lift if you have:
-
- A smaller forehead.
- Severe forehead lines
- A deeply sagging brow
The Endoscopic Lift: An Endoscopic Lift utilizes a very small fiber optic tube, with a tiny light and camera, which is inserted through several small incisions within the hairline. The endoscope provides access to the internal structures and attachments of the forehead, allowing the brows to be lifted and the furrows smoothed. An Endoscopic Lift provides natural looking results with faster healing time.
Choose the Endoscopic Lift if you have:
-
- Drooping eyebrows
- Moderate furrows between the brows
- Little to no forehead creasing
The Limited Incision Lift: A hybrid between the traditional Browlift and the endoscopic procedure, the Limited Incision Lift utilizes an endoscope (very thin tube) to raise the brow. Very small incisions are made at the sides of the hairline, adjusting the outer brows, Frown Lines, and mild Crow’s Feet.
Choose the Limited Incision Lift if you have:
-
- You have Crow’s Feet (lines at the corners of the eyes)
- Furrows between the eyebrows are visible
- There are no forehead lines to correct
