(HealthNewsDigest.com) – Losing hair or going bald is an issue that many men, and some women worry about regularly. If you have known people within your family who have suffered with hair loss, or begun to notice that your own hair is starting to look thinner, you may be in the process of panicking, and looking for options to revitalize your look.

You Only Live Once

Once, there wasn’t much any plastic surgeon could do in order to help with the pains of hair loss. However, as innovative new techniques have begun to be developed, procedures to reverse hair loss have become increasingly more effective. There are now a number of useful hair restoration procedures that can give you back your beautiful locks.

Dr. Kyle, S. Choe, from the Choe Center, prides himself on his ability to achieve stunning, natural looking results with any form of cosmetic surgery. His extensive experience in the realm of surgical procedures mean that patients can trust his talent and skill to give them the results they have always wanted, whether they’re searching for a brow lift, rhinoplasty, or the solution to a receding hairline.

How it Works

There are a number of different techniques that can be used in the process of hair restoration today. The most regularly utilized option is the “strip method” or follicular unit grafting. This method allows a strip of hair-bearing scalp to be taken from the back of the patients head, which is then divided into grafts and follicular units which can be transplanted throughout the bald areas of scalp. This technique is especially effective for filling in a balding crown or reshaping the hairline. The follicular units are programmed to be resistant to hair loss in the future, meaning that you have beautiful hair for a lifetime.

Follicular unit extraction or FUE, is a more advanced option for hair replacement, wherein individual follicles of hair are removed from the scalp using a high-pressure system. The benefit of this option is that it does not result in the scar that typically comes with the follicular grafting technique.

Who can Attain Hair Restoration Surgery

Although most people begin to consider hair restoration surgery when they see hair loss in their frontal crown that is not the only time when a procedure will make sense. In fact, one of the leading forces behind hair loss surgery today is the ability to replace damage that has been done due to scars and injuries on the scalp. Sports injuries and other issues involving the head can actually prevent the hair from growing in a specific area. However, a simple procedure could be enough to reverse this issue and return the hair to a normal appearance.

Hair restoration procedures are also ideal for individuals who find that their hair is beginning to thin, even if they’re not actually going bald. This tends to be a significant issue for women who start to notice that their hair becomes thinner when they reach a certain age.

Regaining a Fresh Head of Hair

However, it can also be a problem for men who start to feel self-conscious about the way their hair looks. What’s more, hair restoration can be a useful way to restore or reshape the hairline itself. Sometimes, this can be done alongside surgery for reducing baldness too.
