Acne is a disease that affects the skin’s oil glands and results from occlusion of a follicle. When a follicle of a skin gland clogs up, a pimple grows. Most pimples are found on the face, neck, back, chest and shoulders. It affects all ethnic groups but is harder to treat in dark skinned people.
