(HealthNewsDigest.com) –While we have made incredible progress in fighting COVID-19, the most recent surge and highly contagious nature of the omicron variant gives us all pause. We all need to keep doing our part to protect ourselves and others. Here are the best ways to stay safe:
- Encourage everyone in your circle to get vaccinated and boosted, including students, who are home from school on break
- If you think you have symptoms or have been exposed to COVID-19, we encourage you to get tested. Here is information about testing in Chicago
- Wear a mask in public settings whenever you’re not eating or drinking
- Keep gatherings small
- Stay home if you’re not feeling well
- Don’t delay your medical care if you’re ill. RUSH offers telehealth options if you prefer to stay home
