Join Jeff Alt, hiking expert, and author of the award-winning A Walk for Sunshine, along with the park rangers for a fun and informing event as they provide hands on hiking seminar for parents and children including: essential gear, types of clothing, planning, food, hydration, safety, and how to keep the kids entertained. As an outdoorsman, Jeff knows first hand the important role the outdoors plays in our lives. As a masters level speech language pathologist and teacher, Jeff knows how critical it is to teach our children while they are young. As parents, Jeff and his wife have made it their mission to share all the greatness of the outdoors with their children. Jeff Alt’s adventures have been featured in media nationwide including ESPN’s Inside America’s National Parks, Hallmark Channel’s New Morning, the AP, CNN Radio, USA radio and more.
