(HealthNewsDigest.com) – Raleigh, NC: Vince runs a small business and covers the full costs of health care premiums for his four employees. These costs total more than $60,000 and make up the third largest expense of his company. As health insurance premiums have continued to rise each year, his employees have had to forgo pay raises just to keep the same level of health coverage. Vince says his employees are willing to give up their pay raises to maintain their coverage because of their age and pre-existing conditions. He says he doesn’t even consider retiring before he turns 65 and qualifies for Medicare because he doesn’t think he’d be able to find affordable coverage given his health history.
