The toning ball provides resistance similar to what one would get from the Pilates Reformer and Spine Corrector apparatus. The ball is easy to inflate and deflate so you can take your Pilates on the go. When inflated, the ball measures approximately 8”.
Pilates expert Andrea Leigh Rogers’ five 10-minute workouts use the toning ball to firm and lift your buns like nothing else. The moves will sculpt and reshape your thighs, and work the deepest layers of your abdominals to create a lean, toned body. The five workouts are: Total Body Toner, Buns & Thigh Sculptor, Strength & Flexibility Pilates, Core Conditioning, and Standing Pilates Sculpt. By placing the ball between the legs you will be toning your inner thighs as you would with the use of the leg springs of the Reformer. By placing the ball under the lower back you will be able to strengthen the spine’s flexibility and strength as you would on the Spine Corrector. By combining the toning ball with a strong mind/body connection, the results can be outstanding.
Andrea Leigh Rogers holds a Classical Pilates certification and is a member of the Pilates Method Alliance. She is an ACE-certified fitness expert.
