Vegetables, exercise and sex are three ingredients for a Healthy Man in the New Year.
|
(HealthNewsDigest.com) – Men don’t have sex to stay healthy, but if they knew how good it was for them they may. If doctors could, they may prescribe sex and intimacy for their male patients (take note this does not include the type of sex that got Tiger Woods in trouble). In fact, it is as important as exercise and diet to a man.
Study after study has declared that the more orgasms a man has the longer he is likely to live. A study done with researchers at Queens University in Belfast tracked 1,000 men from Wales who ranged in age 45 to 49 for a 10 year period. The men with the lowest frequency of orgasms were found to have twice the risk of death from many causes, heart attacks in particular. The researchers concluded that the men with the highest frequency of orgasms had a 50% reduction in mortality rates (close to the same reduction seen with eating fruits, vegetables and exercising everyday).
What happens if you are one of those men who decide the way to get your daily orgasm is to hit the clubs with someone new each night? Well you may lose the benefit. Part of the sex benefit to a man’s health is the “closeness he shares with his partner”. According to Chicago’s National Opinion Research Center a connection also has been found between marriage and better sex. This study found that 41% of married couples have sex at least twice a week, which is almost double the rate for non-cohabiting people. The study went on to say that the health benefits were derived from the “real thing” not what men see on TV. The real thing as talked about in this study were “committed, loving relationships.”
Couples who talk about their sex lives and explore together have greater sex lives. I wrote an article for women in June that explained 20 health reasons women should have sex. Although the reasons vary for women and men, the fact is both women and men should have sex to stay healthy and contented in their relationships. For both men and women, sex is a sure cure for depression, stress, and coping with the life’s difficult situations. For you men who complain that your wife is not interested in Sex I have a great New Year’s present to buy for yourself. The title of this book is “The complete idiot’s guide to Pleasing your woman (a fool proof way to make her happy- in and out of bed”. Gentleman, please do not be offended by the name. This book is so good that I go to it as a reference when I work with couples. Ladies, when your husband or partner does something so over the top sensitive for you, Respond. Sometimes as women we get trapped in the thought process that he is only doing this for sex. So what if he is? Sex is not a bad motivator and it is so healthy for both of you and your relationship.
