Healthcare Lauds Rising Stars at the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association Woman of the Year Luncheon

(HealthNewsDigest.com) – FAIRFIELD, N.J., April 25, 2011 — Each year, the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA) invites its Corporate Partners to designate one Rising Star. These Rising Starsare emerging and talentedprofessionals in disciplines across the healthcare and life sciences industry. They are acknowledged by their employers for:

— Significant contributions to their organizations
— Exemplifying true leadership and serving as a role model for others
— Assisting those in subordinate or peer positions
— Dedication to the healthcare industry

Over 100 Rising Stars will be honored at the HBA’s 22nd annual Woman of the Year (WOTY) Luncheon on Thursday, May 5, in New York City and simulcast to San Francisco. Awards for Woman of the Year, Honorable Mentor, and Star Volunteer will also be presented at the luncheon. “The 104 women honored this year represent the largest group of Rising Stars in WOTY history and also includes our first Rising Star from Japan,” said HBA President Deborah Coogan Seltzer, life sciences practice member at Spencer Stuart. “We’re excited that so many talented individuals will be able to reap the benefits of HBA which delivers unparalleled professional advantages to all those active in the association.”
