(HealthNewsDigest.com) – Your Complete Food Counter app is based on the successful nutrition counter book series from Pocket Books that I have co-authored, with more than 8.5 million satisfied readers. With over 23,000 foods, 900 take-out foods, and more than 120 restaurant chains listed, you can find the calories and nutrients in any food you eat. What can this app do for you – almost anything you wish?
Do you want to lose weight? The app lets you set a target weight and then sets up a daily calorie goal based on your age, sex, and activity level. It will track and log calories for every food you eat each day.
Do you have diabetes? The app can track your carb, fiber and sugar you eat daily.
Did the doctor just tell you to watch your cholesterol? The app can monitor your daily cholesterol intake.
Pregnant? Track vital nutrients, like folic acid, needed for your baby’s development.
Are your triglycerides high? The app will help you watch your daily carb intake.
Working out? The app can track your protein intake to maximize muscle mass.
Are you just curious about the foods you eat? Look up any food or restaurant choice at your fingertips.
Ever wonder how many calories are in your after work drink? Over 160 alcohol drinks are listed. And, there is much, much more.
Your Complete Food Counter app allows you to easily retrieve the nutrition information for over 23,000 foods and 120 restaurant chains. Nutrient values are provided for calories and 12 key nutrients – fat, saturated fat, cholesterol, protein, carbohydrate, sugar, fiber, calcium, sodium, potassium, folic acid and vitamin C. All food values come from government or university databanks, international resources, or directly from food manufacturers and restaurant chains. The information has been carefully reviewed for accuracy and none of the values are community generated from questionable or dated resources.
The app will set up a personal nutrition profile providing calories and nutrient recommendations. If you wish, you can further customize the nutrition information you wish to track.
You can set up a favorite foods list for items you eat frequently, allowing quick retrieval in the future.
A daily log will save your food information and compare what you eat against your individual nutrient recommendations. This gives you instant feedback to help you make better choices or let you know if you are heading in the right direction.
You can search any food or brand name and easily scan the populated list to make choices and comparisons.
If your weight loss or nutrition goals change, you can either change your personal profile or select different nutrients to track. This versatility allows the app to continually adapt to your personal needs and health goals.
As an added bonus the app contains a mini nutrition encyclopedia at your fingertips.
If you want to learn more about a nutrient, simply tap on the nutrient name in Profile > Recommendations. You will see your individual daily recommendation plus information about the nutrient – how it functions in your body, why it is important to your health, good food sources, tips and shopping hints.
Ever wonder — what are antioxidants? Which foods are aphrodisiacs? How do you treat diarrhea? What does HDL stand for? Which foods are rich in omega-3 fats? How does the placebo effect work? Why are trans fats unhealthy? What is the definition of wellness? Answers to all of these questions and much more are found in the comprehensive list, Facts — A to Z.
Fun, informative and based on years of experience providing nutrition information to consumers, Your Complete Food Counter is an all-in-one, easy-to-use app that you can use with confidence.
