NEW IN THE MARKET — EcoZip Storage Bags

Posted on January 30, 2012

I enjoy trying new kitchen gadgets. Some are great. Some don’t measure up and some become staples in my kitchen. See what you think.

(HealthNewsDigest.com) – I was once told that genius is a twist on the ordinary. EcoZip bags are exactly that, an extremely inventive idea for an old standard, the press-lock, plastic, kitchen storage bags that we all use.

EcoZip bags are multicompartment plastic storage bags that let you separate and organize multiple items in one bag. The bags, which come in three sizes – snack/sandwich, quart, and gallon — all have three press zippers, one at each end and one in the middle. This allows you to store a sandwich at one end and grapes in the second compartment. Or pack salad on one side and dressing on the other. When you are ready to eat, simply open the middle zipper and dress the salad and pour the fresh salad onto a plate for lunch.

The use for the bags is endless. They are great for kid’s snacks, brown bag lunches, or to store leftovers as preportioned meals. The bags are BPA-free and made of 70% recycled material. They can be microwaved on low heat, but the company does not recommend this use. The suggested retail price is $3.99 per box (30 bags per box for snack and quart size, and 15 bags per box for gallon size). This is a good product and worth a try.
