(HealthNewsDigest.com) – The weather is getting warmer and your wardrobe needs an update. What should you do? Why not splurge on the season’s hottest trend…the dress! Women want to be comfortable and cool and dresses are the way to go! Also, it’s party season – there are plenty of showers, graduation parties, weddings, and other events coming up so it is the perfect time to splurge on a great dress or two!

Jeanne Hennessey, owner of Lorraine Roy Designer Collections in Danvers, Massachusetts offers these trends to think about when shopping for a dress for summer 2012:

Go Bold: Vibrant colors like green and fuschi are huge right now and definitely make a bold but beautiful fashion statement.

Be a Girl: Femininity is being played up with some softer silhouettes that emphasize a women’s best features. Many “day” or more casual dresses feature soft prints that flatter most everyone.

It’s a Stretch: Classic navy is still very popular but in the hot new fabric called stretch taffeta. Rouching down the front of many dress styles creates the most flattering shape.

Zip It! Bold zippers are everywhere this season – down the front, down the back, on skirts, dresses and jackets.

Pack it In: Dresses that feature fabrics that travel well are in big demand this season, like jersey fabrics with a hint of spandex. The benefits are many – they fit well, feel great and keep their shape in your suitcase. Perfect items to put on your packing list when planning those summer vacations!

So no matter what your personal style there is sure to be a dress to fit it and fit you. Summer is hot. Stay looking and feeling cool in a beautiful dress. For further information: http://www.lorraineroy.com
