(HealthNewsDigest.com) – LAS VEGAS – Michael W. Brown is a singer and saxophonist who has traveled across the country with musical sensation, Sha Na Na. But few know the story behind the scenes, how his beloved wife Amanda was diagnosed with malignant melanoma, beginning a long and difficult journey through the disease.

In his new book, “Finding N-E-D: No Evidence of Disease,” Brown shares their heartfelt true story of love, loss, and hope. After receiving her diagnosis, Amanda had the wisdom and foresight to gather her thoughts into a journal.

Compiling these entries and interspersing them with his own thoughts, Brown tells their story from first meeting through marriage to tearful days at the hospital, sharing the struggles and sorrows that came with his wife’s cancer. Their beautiful, poignant story is a treasure.

Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, “Finding N-E-D” releases Tuesday, May 8, the day after Melanoma Monday. The American Academy of Dermatology recognizes the first Monday in May (National Skin Cancer Awareness Month) as Melanoma Monday in an effort to raise awareness of the potentially deadly skin cancer.

The book is available through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore, or by visiting barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com.

Brown lives near Las Vegas and works extensively with the Melanoma Education Foundation to share about the dangers of malignant melanoma, a dangerous and preventable disease.
