(HealthNewsDigest.com) – May 14, 2012 – Fredericksburg, V.A. – The Civilian Corps of the United States Army Medical Command (MEDCOM) hosts its third virtual career fair to continue its vigorous efforts of creating awareness of medical career opportunities, specifically in behavioral healthcare, available for civilian healthcare professionals. During the May career fair, the Civilian Corps will be recruiting primarily for Clinical Psychologists, Psychiatrists, Licensed Clinical Social Workers and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners at army medical facilities within the Northern Regional Medical Command (NRMC). Locations include Kentucky, Maryland, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Virginia and Washington, D.C.
“MEDCOM’s past virtual career fairs have been incredibly successful, resulting in hiring highly qualified medical professionals in areas of need,” says Dr. Joseph Harrison, Chief, Recruitment and Retention, Headquarters U.S. Army Medical Command, Civilian Human Resources Division. “We intend to continue our strong recruitment efforts throughout the year to support the newly installed Integrated Disability Evaluation System (IDES) and Patient Centered Medical Homes (PCMH) at the medical treatment facilities.”
The virtual career fair will provide job seekers an interactive environment to learn more about job opportunities, locations and the excellent benefits of working with the Army Medicine Civilian Corps. Participants may also submit questions and receive feedback from career consultants until the end of the career fair on Friday, May 18. The Army Medicine Civilian Corps provides healthcare to active and retired military personnel and their families.
