Author of Nurses, Jobs and Money Helps Define Career Paths for RNs

Carmen’s career began when she earned an Associate of Applied Science degree in Nuclear Medicine from Triton College in River Grove, Illinois, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from St. Joseph College of Nursing at the University of St. Francis in Joliet, Illinois, and a Master of Science in Nursing with a 4.0 GPA from the globally-recognized leader in nursing education, The Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. She pursued her postgraduate education at one of the top 15 Nurse-Midwifery and Nurse Practitioner programs in the country, Frontier University in Hyden, Kentucky, where she obtained a Certificate as an Advanced Practice Nurse in Nurse-Midwifery. Additional studies in healthcare economics and disease management led Carmen to a CMR certificate from the Certified Medical Representative Institute in Richmond, Virginia. Intrigued by the expanding field of healthcare economics, Carmen studied under the Division of Insurance to expand her understandings in the insurance industry.
Carmen is a contributing author for Publishing Concepts, Inc., the largest publisher of State Board of Nursing journals in the United States. Her articles and innovative insights span 21 states and quarterly reach 2.1 million nurses, students, faculty and hospitals officials. She also is a contributing author for the Tennessee Nursing Extra, the most respected and widely read healthcare journal in the state. Carmen, her husband of 23 years, their two children and rescued Greyhound, reside in Chattanooga.
