(HealthNewsDigest.com) – Look to caregiving experts for advice on how to handle stress. For example, the Caregiving Club offers “Me Time Monday” videos and tip sheets to help caregivers balance self-care while caring for a loved one.
Caregivers get 52 weeks to find personal joy, guilty pleasures and whatever brings a smile to their face every Monday.
Caregiver Monday is an initiative of The Monday Campaigns, a nonprofit organization in association with John Hopkins, Columbia and Syracuse universities. We provide resources to help caregivers take good care of themselves, manage stress and find support. It is our hope that Caregiver Monday will remind these hardworking individuals that, at least on Mondays, they should take some time out for themselves.
Why Monday? Because research shows that, on the first day of the week, people set weekly health intentions and are looking for help.
