(HealthNewsDigest.com) – April Fools’ Day is usually reserved for pranks. But the support you showed for the National Fire Dog Monument yesterday – and throughout the Washington Post’s Monument Madness tournament – was anything BUT a joke!
Thanks to the overwhelming response by arson dog supporters everywhere, the National Fire Dog Monument, sponsored by American Humane Association, pulled off an incredible come-from-behind victory late yesterdayto be crowned the top monument in the Washington, D.C. area!
“Thank you” to everyone who voted in the tournament and shared with friends on Facebook and Twitter, to our friends at State Farm for co-sponsoring the monument, and to sculptor Austin Weishel for his beautiful, timeless design.
But most of all, THANK YOU to all of the heroic arson dogs and their human handlers who keep our families and communities safe. You truly are champions – today and every day!
