Dr. Gregory Poland, an infectious diseases expert at Mayo Clinic, says not only is that goal unattainable, it may actually be making people less healthy.

In this Mayo Clinic Minute, Dr. Poland explains the still-developing hygiene hypothesis and why being too clean could be harmful to your health. Ian Roth reports.
