(HealthNewsDigest.com) – A COVID-19 vaccine for younger children will likely be available as soon as early next month, and Rush will be here to help.

The Food and Drug Administration has approved the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for kids age 5 to 11 after it was found to be 90.7% effective against symptomatic disease within that age group.

When it clears final review by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in early November, hospitals, pharmacies and clinics will start vaccinating younger children.

Once approved, Rush will be ready to help vaccinate your children and keep them protected against COVID-19.
