Nurses Keep Top Spot for Honesty and Ethics in Poll Ranking Professions

(HealthNewsDigest.com) – SILVER SPRING, MD — For the 12th year, nurses were voted the most trusted profession in America in Gallup’s annual survey that ranks professions based on their honesty and ethical standards. Eighty-four percent of Americans rated nurses’ honesty and ethical standards as “very high” or “high.”

(HealthNewsDigest.com) – WASHINGTON—Nurses in a rural African emergency department who were given a brief training in procedural sedation using ketamine had success rates of 100 percent and an adverse event rate similar to that reported in higher-income settings.
