Sinus Sufferers Might be More Prone to Migraines

Now, a new study has found that sinus sufferers might have another woe: Migraines.
Board-certified otolaryngologist Dr. Jordan Pritikin says, “Research has shown that people who suffer from sinus issues are more apt to suffer from migraines. This could be because sinus issues can lead to sleep apnea which can aggravate migraines, or it could be that inflamed nasal passages play a role in migraines.”
Dr. Pritikin advises patients to speak to their doctor about both issues in detail. “Don’t just treat the migraine and neglect the sinus issue, or vice versa,” he says, “as we now realize that these two conditions might play off one another and exacerbate symptoms.”
