(HealthNewsDigest.com) – Minimally invasive or non-surgical treatments of varying degrees of complexity are being done earlier to achieve a desired appearance, to maintain a youthful look, and to avoid the more dramatic results that can occur from undergoing cosmetic surgery after significant aging changes, such as sagging, skin laxity, and hollowing, have already progressed. According to Dr.Bryan Forley, “In this manner, we can maintain the appearance of a consistently rejuvenated face for longer periods of time to meet consumer demands. The goal of cosmetic procedures should be to achieve a natural looking, aesthetically appealing appearance without the telltale signs of intervention. Sculptra® Aesthetic fits perfectly into an anti-aging program.”

The FDA has recently approved the use of Sculptra®Aesthetic “for the correction of shallow to deep nasolabial fold contour deficiencies and other facial wrinkles.” Sculptra®Aesthetic is composed of an injectable biocompatible material, poly-L-lactic acid, that stimulates the production of the skin’s own collagen resulting in a gradual and very natural appearing restoration of facial volume. Dr. Forley brings a plastic surgeon’s aesthetic judgment and a deep understanding of facial anatomy and the aging process to the application of Sculptra®Aesthetic.

Dr. Forley performs all injectable procedures himself and has developed an expertise, based on five years of experience with Sculptra®Aesthetic for facial volume restoration. The gradual replacement of collagen in the area of treatment enables the natural appearing restoration of youthful facial contours. Generally, a series of two to three treatments at six week intervals are necessary to achieve the desired effect. The youthful appearance that results from the treatment can last up to three years, and maintenance treatments can be done at any time.

According to Dr. Forley, “The recent FDA approval of Sculptra®Aesthetic for cosmetic indications opens a new chapter for injectable anti-aging treatments with proven results.”
