(HealthNewsDigesst.com) – Rhinoplasty is one of the most popular forms of cosmetic surgery available throughout the world today. This form of surgery is used to carefully sculpt and restructure the nose to provide a better formation and shape for the patient, either for medical or aesthetic reasons.

Sometimes referred to as a ‘nose job’, rhinoplasty is a much-loved innovation in the world of plastic and cosmetic surgery, because we all know just how important this aspect is to the overall appearance of our face. Improper size and shape can overwhelm our entire face, and make it difficult for us to see the beauty that lies beyond.

Most people wonder where they should start looking when they’re searching for an expert to give them the nose, and the confidence that they have always wanted. There are a number of cosmetic surgery offices out there that offer a wide variety of different procedures, but very few that specialize on one aspect of aesthetic surgery in particular. Dr. Shervin Naderi is a rhinoplasty specialist that has been dual-board certified. From septoplasty to revision rhinoplasty, he dedicates his entire surgery exclusively to finding solutions for problematic noses.

Rhinoplasty surgery

Many plastic and cosmetic surgeons from around the world suggest that rhinoplasty is one of the most complicated and skill-oriented surgeries available today. It takes a talented and truly dedicated person to master the act of rhinoplasty, however that has not stopped it from becoming incredibly popular.

Today, rhinoplasty is one of the most common forms of cosmetic surgery, specifically within the USA, and it is used to reshape the outline of the nose to give the patient their preferred shape, or size. Rhinoplasty can also be used to assist people in overcoming particular issues with their breathing, and improving confidence by giving a person the look that they have always wanted.

Closed rhinoplasty

There are a number of different approaches that can be taken to rhinoplasty surgery. Two of the most common and often-utilized methods include closed and open surgery.

Closed rhinoplasty is typically performed under local or general anesthesia, allowing the surgeon to make careful incisions within the rim of the nostril, where they will be completely hidden from sight after the patient has healed. To correct an issue with breathing, the surgeon will separate the nose tissues from the underlying structures, before reshaping bone and cartilage.

To reshape or reduce the size of a nose, nasal bones will be carefully fractured towards the end of the procedure. If the nose needs to be built up further, then the surgeon may create grafts or use a silicone implant.

Open Rhinoplasty

In open rhinoplasty, the surgeon will create a delicate incision along the columella of your nose, which is the small strip of skin that exists between your nostrils. This will allow your surgeon to carefully lift the skin away from the tip of your nose and skillfully rearrange the shape and size of the bone within. This is often easier for surgeons, as it allows them to better visualize the inner structures that exist inside of your nose, leading to a more predictable, and conclusive final result.

When you have healed from this procedure, there will be a very faint, almost undetectable scar on the underside of your nose.
