(HealthNewsDigest.com) – If you’ve been reading my tips for any length of time, then you’ve read my “Feeding Our Body” series. Some of my most popular tips are from this series, such as “Feeding Our Skin”, “Feeding Our Muscles” and “Feeding Our Brain”. Many of us may be “Feeding Our Cravings” too often as well, so this prompts me to ask, what about “Feeding our Soul”? Is there a connection between feeding our cravings and feeding our soul at least some of the time?

(HealthNewsDigest.com) – Well, we’re midsummer almost in the dogs days of August, with more hot weather to come. Water, a nutrient, which we discussed recently is vital to our health, to our exercise tolerance and to our every bodily function. Drinking enough water is even more important during hot humid weather (if you’re somewhere cooler, you’re lucky!) so, here’s my yearly summer reminder for us to drink up!

New Study Shows Many Unplanned Quit Smoking Attempts Are Successful

(HealthNewsDigest.com) – Parsippany, NJ – Data published in the journal, Nicotine and Tobacco Research, shows that many U.S. quit attempts are unplanned and can be a successful route to cessation. In the study, almost 40 percent of subjects reported that their most recent quit attempt started without any advance planning, suggesting that for some smokers, setting an advance quit date may not be as necessary as once thought.
